The Lone Star State of Texas

A couple of years ago the kids both moved to Austin, TX. A city that has live music, a river, the capitol, high tech, the university, and plenty of people - this is no podunk junction.
I am partial to the weather having grown up on a semi-arid, desert plateau.
I'd like to have a house in Texas some day.
Until then, this bird house with the lone star above the doorway is a reminder of a life time goal. It is supposed to be outside, but I can see it best right here on the family room floor beneath the amazing quilt that Helen transformed into a museum piece, the Baltimore Blues.
It is a cozy feeling to watch the news and see the house just sitting there patiently waiting for change.
